Return to Practice Nurse Scheme

Aimed at nurses whose NMC registration has lapsed. The scheme is designed specifically for nurses wishing to return to practice in general practice and primary care settings – can you support them back into nursing?

The ATP is currently looking for Sheffield GP practices to support nurses wishing to return to practice by offering them an opportunity to get back on the NMC register.

Foundry is working with the University of Sheffield to help place return to practice students currently on their NMC approved programme for primary care.

Key Points

Payment: £500 for 2 days per week placement over 10 weeks (approx.)

Allocation: Practices are allocated a return to practice student by University of Sheffield. Practices can take more than one Return to practice nurse.

Requires: Sign-Off mentor, as nurse will need to be assessed as competent to return to the register. FMG can assist if your nurse needs to obtain sign-off status.
